Pop Culture

       Popular culture means things are very popular in a period of time. When I  just came to the U.S, I found that there were a lot of people wear flip-flops. It influenced me, so I bought a flip-flop on the day I just arrived. Pop culture influences me. It brings me more interesting things.Things are changed since I have been in the U.S. I would like to have a cup of coffee in the morning just like most Americans do. I receive more American population. 

       I have become award of since taking this class. I learned the differences between pop culture and high culture. We also learned a litter bit about American culture. In class, we did some readings about music, movie,and technology.I really like the movie project because I could have changes to watch and know different type of movies. The scavenger hunt was very fun. It taught me how to interview someone.Working in a group and share things with you group makes class more interesting.

TV

Take me out, If yo are the one, and I see you are the famous dating show in China. Dating show is so popular in China today. As I see, the dating show is turning traditional. In the past, parents found a date for their child, and people just introduced themselves. I never think of that dating can be in the show. In the show, man usually ask women some simple questions, but women looking for loftier transport and wealthier dates. For example, man ask, " Would you come riding with me?" and woman said," I rather cry in a BMW." We call those woman material girl. 

Technology

     Cell phone can be the thing that I cannot live without it. I set up a alarm on my cell phone, so I can get up on time everyday. Then, I use my cell phone to check the weather to decide what I am going to dress. On my way to school, I use cell phone to check e-mail and upload things on Facebook. Cell phone is very useful in our daily life. The biggest reason why I cannot live without cell phone is I already addicted to the cell phone. Even though I am in class, I take out my cell phone from the pocket every 20 minutes. Sometimes, I just want to know did I miss the phone call, but most of the time, I want to make sure that my cell phone still here with me. I am afraid to lose it.

Movie

        

        Speed is a police and bandit film. Payne got fire of the police department, so he set up a bomb in an elevator to ask for money. Jack and Annie figured it out. They solved the problems and saved the people from the elevator. Payne plan to retaliation Jack and Annie. Payne set up another bomb in a bus. This time, the problem is more difficult. The bus can not slow down because the speed over 50 miles per hour, if not, the bomb will explode. Jack found to the bus and move people from this bus the other bus. They were saved before the bomb exploded. Payne kidnapped Annie and bound her with the bomb. Jack set foot on the way to help Annie. Jack fight with Payne on top of the truck. At the end, Jack stopped the truck and saved Annie.

The Boys by Girl Generation

  My favorite song is The Boys by Girl Generation.Girl Generation has nine members. They are South Korean k-pop girl group. Their first performed in 2007. The Boys is their first English album. It is about things during their training exercises. My favorite type of music is Korean pop music. It began in 1920s to 1950s. It is introduction of western music. It is very popular in Asia. Pop music include pop, hit pop, rock, and R&B. 

Reading

       The Digital Music Renaissance
         

        The readings we did in class during this semester, I like The Digital Music Renaissance most. It is about the economic of recorded music has changed. A man bought a 120 gigs hard drive to back up his music, and he is a better consumer. He bought CDs all the times at the beginning. Later, he found that he can not burn the music from the CDs. He said, I won’t buy CDs that I can not rip to my hard drive. He bought less CDs. At the end, the hard drive he bought got 90 gigs left. This is really spoke to me because I used to back up my things in the hard drive.Before I brought hard drive with me everyday.Now, for me, hard drive is no longer to use. I download music on line. I put my pictures, music and works in the drop box. Things are changed to so many different ways because of Internet and computers.
